Reverse Engineering: Strength & Power
In MMA (and all combat sports for that matter), one of the biggest fears is to be fatigued/ gassed out during a fight. Therefore, honing in on energy system development is a key priority in determining what increases the probability of success. As MMA and combat sports continue to evolve, the importance of scientifically-driven, targeted energy system development cannot be overstated. In this module, we will discuss how we at the UFCPI assess, target, and periodize the development of the aerobic, glycolytic, and alactic energy systems.
