Reverse Engineering: Strength & Power

In this module we will discuss the process of ‘Reverse engineering’ in a sport context. Basically what we are talking about is, dissecting the key physical determinants of success and devising strategies to target those determinants. We will discuss strength classifications, how to interpret testing results, and devising training programs which align with the targets identified during the reverse engineering process. Here we will focus on strength, power, and speed. We will take a look at the UFCPI approaches in MMA, however these concepts can be applied broadly across different combat sports.
