MODULE 3 INTRO

Video: Intermediate Strength and Conditioning: Module 3 Intro (1 min)

Introduction

The first two modules listed critical physiology, biomechanics, and training concepts. In this third module, we will discuss the importance of coaching and delve deeper into particular scenarios/population considerations. We will focus on communication and then discuss the principles of motor learning before moving on to special populations, specifically youth, pregnancy, and older adults. Lastly, we will discuss the critical aspect of ‘return to play,’ where strength & conditioning integrates with sports medicine to optimize the transition from injury to performance.
